Bhima’s Foods: brand refresh, mascot and packaging, by Matash

Brand refresh, mascot and packaging

Bhima's Foods: We’re Bhima’s Foods. Since 2011 we’ve made ready-to-cook South Indian breads for businesses. Now we want to sell to homes. We need a brand refresh, and a mascot to lead it.

Matash: Then the brand needs a face a family remembers from the shelf.

Matash: The strongest of the Pandavas was also a cook.

Matash: In the Mahabharata, Bhima spends a year in disguise in a king’s kitchen. So we drew him that way: armour on his shoulders, moustache up, thumb up. The hero who feeds you.

Matash: Then the first pack for the home: Malabar parota, ready to eat in 70 seconds.

The Malabar Parota pack: the Bhima's logo on a red badge, the name in big white letters, the mascot with a thumbs up beside two parotas on a red plate, among banana leaves

Matash: And a first look for social.
